Article summary

Reviewing transactions is an essential part of bookkeeping. It helps to keep a check on business income and expenses. To help you prepare for tax time, categorize your business transactions using our predefined list of income and expense categories. Each category has an information icon that describes what it represents.

There are three tabs on the transactions table.

  • Unreviewed - These are transactions that you need to review and assign as either a Business or Personal transaction. If you assign a transaction as Business, you can select an expense/income category from the category dropdown.
  • Reviewed - These are transactions that have been marked as either Business or Personal.
  • All - This is a list of all transactions.

In LZ Books on the Transaction page, select the transaction you would like to edit from the table.
