Article summary

LZ Books provides an option to manually add transactions to your books. This is helpful in many cases, including if: 

  • You aren’t ready to connect a bank account. 
  • You need to upload past transactions from an account that is not connected to LZ Books. 
  • You want to sync transactions from a past date.
  • Your bank account might not be supported by Plaid at present.

Adding a single manual transaction 

  1. Navigate to the New button in the top right corner. 
  2. Select +Transaction

In LZ Books select the New button in the top right corner of the page. Then select +Transaction.

Importing transactions in bulk 

If you already have a bank account connected 

  1. Navigate to the Transactions tab. 
  2. Select the Gear icon in the Connected account section. 
  3. You’ll see the option to Import a .csv file of your transactions. 

In LZ Books on the Transaction Page, Select the Gear icon in the connected accounts widget.
Select Import at the top of the page.

If you don’t have a bank account connected 

  1. Navigate to the Transactions tab. 
  2. Select Connect Bank
  3. Exit out of the Plaid bank connect workflow, then select Import in the top right corner. 
  4. Follow the instructions to upload a .csv file of your transactions.

Check if the labels on your uploaded CSV are correct or choose to label them yourself.

Select Import Transactions.
